This Sunday marks the start of my church’s backpack/ school supply drive for children in our neighborhood that cannot afford to buy school supplies. This made two things come to mind. One, school is starting soon. Oh goodness, summer went by far too quickly. Two, there are millions of children in the world, both here in the U.S. and abroad that do not have access an proper education. Here in the U.S., that lack of access to an education often takes the form of not having access to resources and supplies. We can easily help these students by participating in a school supply drive. Virtually thousands of churches and organizations across the U.S. organize these drives to help. So, for today’s suggestion of how you can change the world… participate in a school supply drive! If you can’t find one in your area, start your own using these tips.
