It has long been a tradition to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day by volunteering. I mean, can you think of any more perfect way to honor a leader of the Civil Rights movement? That is why this week’s suggestion of how to change the world is to spend some time this weekend volunteering. If you have never celebrated in this way, this year would be an amazing time to start. With the recent events in Ferguson, New York City, and even my own city of Atlanta, Dr. King’s values are still very much needed.

“Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.”- Martin Luther King Jr.
