Fair Trade Your Halloween

halloweenHappy Friday! I hope your weekend is off to a great start and you have fun plans for tomorrow! Between the fact that tomorrow may be is the most candy-filled holiday in existence, and the fact that October is fair trade month, I figured it would be great to post about how you can shop ethically this Halloween. Unfortunately, a lot of the delicious candy being distributed is chocolate that may have been produced using child slaves. Luckily, it is easier than ever to have a fun and fair Halloween. I was going to do some research and post a little “guide” for you. But, during my research, I found a guide that is already pretty awesome on how you can easily celebrate Halloween and Fall in general, while still not contributing to abusive labor practices. Without further ado, I present Fair Trade USA’s Guide to a Fair Trade Halloween.

Happy Halloween, world-changers

P.S. How do you try to change the world on holidays like Halloween? Share your ideas in the comments!
